eagle chickie, I'm somewhat confused by your position on things. You're not happy with the current deer situation in PA. I'm not either. But, you state that you have no issue shooting any deer you see? Seems to me you're pissed because you have a family full of unused tags yet. EGO? If you're strapped for money and need the meat to feed the family, thats one thing. But I seriously doubt thats the case. You complain about not having enough deer, yet you'll shoot a button buck or yearling with a problem. Thats funny.

See, you seem to forget that hunting isn't about filling your tags each year. Thats what the grocery store is for. Sure, I'd like to see more deer in the woods and think the PGC is doing a bang up job of screwing some things up. But, I also am addicted to the challenge of hunting a trophy buck. I don't have the need or desire to fill all my tags just because.

to each their own
BTW I usually collect a significant amount of my venison off public land. I buy little commercial beef and we raise our own pork which I mix with the venison for sausage.
If the PGC enmployees and butt kissers on the site can find anything wrong with filling our anterless tags off public land or DMP farms I'd like them to put that in writing and sign their names to it. I'm certain the Commisioners would love to read it too.

There may be something to that phrase of "Brown and down." With the situation of deer on public land, especially Game Lands, why not shoot a doe. You might as well, because if you don't the next guy surely will. So you might as well get yours while the getting is good. At least you'll be able to say "I got mine" when they're all gone. After all, isn't that why the agency issued so many antlerless tags?

Just remember, what's driving this whole Herd Reduction program is FOREST CERTIFICATION. It has nothing to do with improving the herd or maintaining a better class of bucks.

FOREST CERTIFICATION!

"I got mine"
That seems to be all it's about for 2 or 3 of you on this site. If I pass up a Doe it doesn't mean "the next guy" will shoot it. The next guy may never see it. Your all speculating.

Hey eagle chickie, I have an idea for ya. Why not build a big pen and raise your own venison? That way, you'll always get your deer.

Hold on there now chickie, don't get your feathers all ruffled over nothing.
Having mounts has nothing to do with ego.Whether it's grouse tails or antler mounts I enjoy saving them as a memo to past hunts.
Yes I enjoy hunting bucks, haven't shot a doe for years because our area has a low enough population.
So your thing is killing button bucks and does?Well hey if that's what trips your trigger have at it but don't cut other fellows up for hunting bucks.

And that would be just as sporting as shooting a bb on purpose.

Rob:Whomever made you a moderator with your bias attitude must have been really desperate to dump it on someone else.
