RE: next years doe permits

Please, spare me.

"WCo's survey deer at processors and ciompare the reported deer with the unreported deer and calculate a reporting rate. They the apply the reporting rate to the actual reports and come up with an estimate. It's not a perfect system but statistically it winds up being fairly accurate."

What about the hunter who butchers his own deer? How about the farmer who butchers his own deer and some of his friends deer? What about all the camps that put up a roster that never gets checked and countedby a Game warden?

It's a fact that only 40% of hunters report their kill. How can any calculation be accurate with a return of data of 40%. A very simple phrase comes to mind; Garbage In, Garbage Out! Now, that simple phrase is FACT!

Let's get real. The agency should have a call in phone number. It should also have a way to report by computer.Citations should be issued to those who get caught not reporting their kill. And it wouldn't hurt to have a few check stations at high volume highway exits. And oh by the way, check stations don't have to be manned by Game wardens to gather basic information.

The calculating system as it stands today is most certainly a "Magical, Mystical Formula" that is the envey of Walt Disney.

Don't you wish the IRS had a system like the PGC has? What would you report?

you know... im like evryone else.. the deer just arent out there this year...

i think that if they want to see the numbers increase.. why not make doe season how it was before? why not have a 2 or 3 day doe season at the end of buck...

or hell if they want to keep it longer... make it after the first week..

i bet 90% of the people who go out the first day or first saturday dont even go out the next week..

i dont know why they cant get it through their thick heads....

Are you guys up there in Lah - Lah Deer Land the only ones that butcher your own deer - Butchers,Farmers,Camps...etc..etc...Bla...Bla.....

Where does the ONLY 40% of hunters report their kill come from?? - Who - Where - What's his/her name and credentials??

Who suggested check stations had to be manned by game wardens??

PA allocates tags - hunters buy them and then try make a lame duck excuse to justify its all PGC fault that hunters whack BB's,fawns, spikes - Its Brown its Down. It's PGC Fault.Okeee - Dokeee

Myself and many other hunters don't use the state as an excuse to kill anything allocated on a Lisc to justify whackin anything with a white tail hangin from its rump!

Start managing your own deer herd and stop pissin and moaning.
Talk to the PGC,Get Involved Go to Meetings.Everybody here is sick of hearing the same old conspiracy theories - Blame Game - Gary Alt,PGC,Ins Company,The Governor,Timber Companies - Bla...Bla...Bla...Yada...Yada...

Way to many guys posting here hunting state land and talking great sucess due to AR'S - Knock - Knock - who implemented AR's??
Not Hunters!
Get with the Program!

Your making a Laughing Stock out of Pa Hunting !

Garbage In Garbage Out - Thread needs to get back On Topic.

RE: next years doe permits

the only way to have more der is to stop doe tags..all these things tripled kill on doe.WMU TO BIG.EARLY MUZZLEODER,2 WEEKS OF DOE..

IF THEY WENT BACK TO THE 2 WEEKS OF BUCK,3 DAYS OF DOE AND BACK TO COUNTY ONLY doe permits ,not the 6 or 8 county thing..

when we had control of our county on doe tags,we had deer..

all these new programs were put in to remove doe fastest way they could.. it worked..they put it in and hunters did it..

now, how do you stop it..thats question..
