A lot of the problem is we sit on our assets, on the ground or in a tree so nothing moves. My youngest son is a walker and every time he goes out he sees a good number of deer, but he's waiting for mister BIG. Rich
Very true. Nobody saw much on our property while on stands but when we got bored we would start walking the roads around the property and jump deer left and right. Most of the deer I saw were while I was walking around.
Exactly. When it's warm out people can sit all day long,But when it's cold out,The sitters that can sit the longest will see deer from the ones who are cold walking around to warm up and kickin deer up.

I look at that a little different. A lot of the problem IMO is people not sitting on stand. They get up and walk around "jumping" deer all over the place which in turn leads to an awful lot of nocturnal natural movement. Doesn't take much to drive them to night time hours (especially a big buck). Good way to see white tails bouncing around through the woods, but very productive time for stand hunters.

I agree with NY Bow. All the hunter movement, deer drives, and constant banging of shotguns def. turns the deer nocturnal, and into hiding. I know there's deer in the area. I saw them during archery season. Not as many as I usually do, but enough to know there's darn deer. I have yet to see a deer since S. Reg seasons opened, not a single dang deer!

We hunt 58 acres in canastota. We have a farm on one side and another 150 acres on the back side with the thurway on 3 side. The yahoo`s on the farm and the back walk all day long. Ride 4 wheelers around while hunting. This has made it a long season so far[&o]
