Slow opener in 7M for me, too. I heard quite a few shots, but not as many as usual. I hunted my opening day stand where I usually see a minimum of 20 deer, and I only saw 2 does right at 7:00 and a 3 pointer that I passed on at 10:30. Nothing else the rest of the day. I wonder if all the rain yesterday and the day before shut things down?

Heard a few shots far off here in Oswego County. Then a few relativley close. No noticable thump sound followed the shots, So I assume that they were all misses. I think the closer shots were just some moron shooting off some shots behind his house to tick everyone off.

We heard a few far off shots yesterday, then I heard a few clusters this am. Getting ready to head out now. Slept in today.

Not many shots fired in my part of Delaware county.Maybe a total of 10 shots all day. Seen a total of zero deer, but a total of 3 hunters on our property.1 which though he should have my tree stand. He had to cross survey maker,a stone wall, barbwire next to it,pass 2 posted signs and tried to claim THAT he owned the property.Had to explain to him, that he had to cross all that and stop to read the sign. That maybe he should think again.I mean he just brought the property next to my brother's and had it surveyed this spring.Besides he walked 75 yds to get my stand.Pretty muched ruin my day of hunting. He made a jerk of himself.Making alot of racket and keep walking up and down the property line.I'm going back out to afternnon, and still hunt along that side of the line to check posted signs and make sure the gates are closed and locked.

Out in 9a again this A.M. spooked a couple walking to stand but was still pitch black so who knows what they were. again no shooting 4hrs on stand 0 deer 9shots nothing even close and 5 of them came in the barrage which always ends up in the miss column. Why do people do that usually by 3rd shot deer are well out of range anyway. make the 1st shot count instead of worrying about the next 4 that my motto amI nutty or what
