I seen my 3 rd bear in a month..This is the most bears I have seen in a short time....The thing about it,They was not the same one and I seen them all within a 250 yrd on the same stretch of road. This last one I seen was close to 500lbs and jet glossy black..I mean it's fur was just shinning oily black...I might have to get a tag for this area and see what turns up during the season...3 bears in a month same road,,,Just might be a good year to lone hunt them without drivers...

One of the secrets to successful beer hunting is to gut them before you shoot them. I killed a nice one several years ago in Clearfield Co. Hit it dead center in the Iron City circle. Another bonus is the fact that they usually run in packs of six. Makes for good "buddy" hunts, particularly if he can run into a pack of them also. Best hunting is usually found around camp, and just after dusk. Be aware---this type of hunting can be intoxicating !!

Rumor has it that next year there will be new beer restrictions and we'll only be able to take a6 pack or better in most of the state and some beer management units will be12 pack areas!

i dont know what state this topic was originally about, but i have yet to see a bear in NY. i saw several grizzlys in alaska, but have never seen a wild black bear.

Seems there's plenty of bears around the state this year.I know after a day of bear hunting I'm sure ready for a beer.
