Looks like there is a bill pending to open 4 more counties in the southern zone here in NY to hunting big game with rifles. Steuben, Chemung, Yates and Chautauqua. Pataki says he will sign it. Hope it passes! Hat's off to senator Volker!

Boy, I sure hope it passes also. I've hunted Steuben (born and raised there) for 40 years with slugs. Several big boys "got away" cause they were just out of range. I've got some great little rifles just waiting. Keep us posted on it's progress.

I was hoping Madison would join the list but I guess we`ll wait.
