where you newyorkers going next saturday (not sure of the laws in otherstates)? its opening day of trout and im ready but i just need to pick up a few more flies.. it wasnt muddy when i checked last night well see.
ill be headed to the south end of my lake to fish the inlet .

I should be going to the Willowemec in the next week or so... unfortunately, I can't get out on opening day.

Sullivan County. Not sure what they are stocking now, I haven't been there in a few years. I believe it used to be browns and possibly brook (?) Beautiful place though. I fish it at the covered bridge in Livingston Manner, you can walk right down to where Rt. 17 crosses it and I know in that area there are always fish.

I'll either be on Cattaraugus Creek near Springville Dam or I'll be on Elton creek in Delevan - Both have some nice fish - I like to avoid the rush of people though so I'll probably hit some of the hard to reach holes i fished as a kid. I pull 24"ers out of some of those holes pretty regular.

The further out the better, without a doubt. I jsut wish gas was a little cheaper right now so I could explore more.
