Default TRASH IN WOODS

ill probably get no responses but everyone who looks at this thread

PLEASE, NEXT TIME YOU GO TO THE WOODS, TAKE YOUR TRASH OUT WITH YOU ( INCLUDING SHELL CASINGS OR HULLS).

AND NOT ONLY YOUR TRASH, PICK UP OTHERS AS WELL.

remember,

discipline is what you do when no one else is watching.

always try to......the only thing im guilty of leaving is shotgun hulls fired from the semi once in a while that fling to who knows where.....and 22casings when squirrel hunting occassionally....to many people leave stuff in the woods....why not carry out your wrappers and bottles out after they are empty....you carried them in full

I'm with ya cpltessaz. It drives me crazy to see junk in the woods. Although I think the worst offenders are on the banks of rivers & streams. Styrofoam worm containers, hook packages and beer cans. I'm always filling my pockets taking stuff out of the woods.

Good idea, but around here you would need a front end loader for the furniture ,wash machines and refregerators and a tow truck for the autos

I have a real pet peeve about litterers. I can't count how many times I've sneaked into a good place to set up for turkey hunting and, once it got light enough to see, saw that someone else must've thought the same thing a day or two earlier. Used coffee cups, candy wrappers, etc all over the place.

For those of you who litter: As was already said, this stuff was full on the way in and you managed to get it there. Now that it's empty, crumple it all up, stuff it in your pocket and get it out of there. THE WOODS AREN'T YOUR TRASHCAN.

Nothing worse than finding wrappers, empty chew cans and stuff at the base of a tree stand - you carry it in you should carry it out -

I agree will all of you. I hate to see the woods littered with junk, but I am guilty of one thing, during mushroom season I sometimes leave a can or bottle to mark a good spot. However, after I am no longer finding mushrooms in the area, I remove it from the woods. All of you keep up the good work. Its nice to know that some people still respect the land.

I'm with you 100% on this. My truck ends up full of other peoples trash by the end of the season. What really makes me mad is watching some hunting show where the host keeps ejecting shells without looking or even mentioning one should carry out spent shells. This gives the non-hunting public the impression we don't really care about the outdoors.
