Saw 50+ does/yearlings as did my buddy. I passed a tiny spike first thing and that was the last buck that I saw. My club did take 7 bucks with one nice 7 and the rest scraps. Can't believe all the baldies plus the flocks of turkeys that we saw. Also, my Dad saw a bear cub in the AM.

i normally dont shotgun hunt but went out once this week and saw 3 small bucks and passed them all up. i tohught it was kinda weird to see all bucks becasue i never see them this time of year specially 3. Sad to say will all the pressure around here they will have a hard time makin it thru this season. the one buck bedded down 20 ayrds from the stand and i got down and walked up to it about 20 feet away and it just got up and walked off. Hes lucky im not one of them other hunters or he woulda been on the table.

I'm on the same page with you NJBowman. Our deer herd is so unbalanced its a disgrace. I would like to see antler restrictions statewide, I would like to see deer drives either made illegal or set a number of how many hunters can be involved. I was over at Ozarks today, they have 9, and 2 coyotes. Except for one they were all dinkers. Two really had potential. My buddies hunted Stokes Monday, one of them seen twenty something deer, not one buck. Its so out of wack, the state would almost have to shut down buck hunting for a year or two to get it somewhat close. Whoever runs the deer program should be ashamed of themself!
