33 deer in 4 days
 

Our camp,all family members to boot took 33 deer in 4 days from private and sgl land. 10 was 4 points or smaller 3 was 6 to 9 pointers and the rest was does. 22 of us alltogether. We still have8 doe tags to fill and9 adult buck tags.Our 100 acre is adjacent to sgl and we just posted sitters there and put drives on.Last year we got 50+ deer but had a few more hunters.I know for sure that there are less quality in bucks than last year.I will post pics of the 33 deers when I find the usb cable.Maybe by saturday when I go back up they might have a few more hanging.These picslook like back in the times when you see all them hunters sitting in front of the poles with all them deer behind them.It's really a moment in time spent with family.

Oh,that was what a read from another forumI visited tonite.I didn't finish before I hit send. Now I think that is way out of control there.

They have theire own property yet they go to SGL and drive the deer offSGL onto theire property. What the hell is that? There should be some kind of law for behavior like that. Upsets many who don't have private land to hunt on.

What state were they in????? It sure wern't Pa!!10 four points=illegal kills,in Pa?
Also,it sounds like a fairy tale.

they shot more deer than they had hunters in four days, and they are complaining?

IMO, they should lose their huning licenses for a year, then the next year they might not take it for granted and actually appreciate what they can get.

Antler restrictions dont apply to kids so if they had 10 kids with there youth tags it would have been legal...i do think it is some what of a fairy tale though...

see if that was my land i would have my own regs and would be producing big bucks and only taking mature doe's... in a few yrs there going to ask there self the question where did all the deer go? then there going to say oh yeah we killed them all off.

Sounds like what happened in my hunting area last year. I hunt in Huntingdon County on SGL and my Dad talked to a local guy the first day of rifle season; who said a group of local hunters drove the area for a week and took 25 doe. Now I know why we didn't see as many deer this year in archery. Thats a lot of deer to take in one area, I don't care where it is.

Not really the kind of post that will get positive replies around here. 22 guys 33 deer? sounds like some people are a bit greedy
