Here's a photo from the local paper of a 22-pt. bowkill that was taken recently here in Steuben County (town of Thurston). It's hard to tell from the crappy photo, but he's got matching droptines on each beam and matching kickers of his G2's an G3's too. Pretty cool looking buck . I'd like to see some better pics. of it.

Thanks for the photo MJR10. My uncle is supposed to be emailing me a couple other pics too...including a profile shot which really shows off the mass. That sure is a beautiful deer...I hope it was taken legally. If so, maybe the top bowkill of the year in the state? Any guesses on the score?

Yea ... the buck was shot in Campbell. There has been a lot of speculation that this deer was shot illegally. I do know that the DEC is investigating. Two big holes, one in the shoulder and one in the neck, that are apparent in some photographs do make the suspicion seem warranted.

Hopefully it is on the up and up, though.

Definately alot of suspicion. Check out the way it was "caped".
