Help in Hudson Valley NY!!
Land is dwindling around here for us hunters. The state land is so crowded it is unsafe to hunt or at least it feels that way..
If anyone is looking for a bowhunting partner feel free to PM me or if you know of an area that is private land but accessable to bow hunters I would greatly appreciate the tips.. I live near Marlboro NY in Ulster County

Here's what I do. Drive around and look for thepeople who have the most $$which usually equates toA LOT of property, you know, the type of people who you can't see their homes from the road. Thesepeople are usaully very busy and have no idea whats going on in their many acers. Sneak in with your bow and hunt the land. They will never know you're there. If you have a friend to drop you offin these types of locations even better. Invest in a LoneWolf tree stand (light, easy to carry). You can even put in some loc on stands once you get a feel for the place. If any places pan out,DO NOT TELL ANYONE. It's actually a good idea not to tell anyone about any deer you harvest.
Of course, obey all tresspassing signs if they have the land posted...

Thanks.. Where are you located.. I see your 845 area code! I have a few small spots here and there but they are getting old and crusty.. not to mention that it's weird looking through people's kitchen windows at 5am walking into the woods.

I had the same thing happen, but now I hunt in Delaware County. The land is much less crowded and there is much more land up there. Try hunting the watershed lands that NYC and the DEP have opened to hunters. There is about 36,000 acres open in many different parcels. I hunt it all the time and it is great. Go to this website for info.

Hope this helps!
