Saturday- Saw 8 birds (6 roosters, 2 hens). My dad shot two and I have to learn how to shoot.

Monday- 5 birds (3 roosters, 2 hens). I got one and missed two.

I hold off on the small game til 2nd season. Too busy with archery right now. Nice to hear you guys are chasing birds. Pheasants have become a pretty rare sighting in Adams county.

last pheasant I saw that wasnt a stocked bird or on a preserve here in montgomery county was 15 years ago. i did hear one recently in bucks county..

If i had my buck by now I would be out chasing small game.. right now its just not worth my time.

I'm just curious, where have all of you been seeing pheasants at? I hunt a few farms in Bucks county, and i haven't seen or even heard a pheasant in about 11 years. I hunt in Bradford county too, and the only birds we see there are the ones that our hunting club stocks.

The game commission stocks pheasants every year. Check there website for where they would stock in your area. To warn you ahead of time, these areas are hunted extremely heavily, especially on Saturday's. It is much better during the week.
