1 Turkey, I could hear the others including a Gobbler, but could only get a glimpse of one. Skunked on the deer.

thats Good 8 doe.Pretty bad when you hunt public land and see more deer then people around here are seeing on private land.

Just got back from a week in Potter Co, area 2G. There were 3 of us, 10 in another cabin and 2 in a third cabin. One other cabin and the B&B lodge were empty, one cabin had mountain bikers in it. Use to be a waiting list for staying here for October - November.

Our group of 3: no deer, I saw 6, 2 SMALL spikes, 3 does who didn't come in range and 1 not sure. 2nd guy saw 4 that went past me to him, third saw nothing.

Cabin of 10 hunters, got 1 deer.

Cabin of 2 saw nothing.

TONS AND TONS of food, acorns and cherries everywhere, apple trees all loaded. Couldn't even find deer driving around at night.

This particular area of Potter Co has had way to many deer taken out of it.

Went out today to move my stand closer to hot trail. It was after 11:00AM. It is on private property and before I even got our of my truck I saw 6 doe and1 small 6 point. Great morning, should have been hunting!

Nothing tonight. We do have a pesky dog that has been running around howling. Saw it tonight. No tags on it. Anyone have a good reciept for basset hound???

I went out tonight and saw one deer moving into a field , hard to tell what it was , had a huge body , the real kick was i thought about hunting the stand that the deer walked right by to enter the field , but i didnt think the wind was right for it tonight! shoulda stuck with my gut and went there . Im seeing deer , just need to see the RIGHT one now i guess!
