Saw 2 sets of 4 doe (1st set was about 15yards away), 1 nice buck (couldn't make the rack size out) and a red fox on public land. I didn't get a shot because I didn't have the bow with me. I went on a little hiking/scouting trip for about an hour.

I've been in a stand a total of 6 times so far. Had a 100" 8 point in to 18 yds. but offered no shot. Have had 13 doe in and killed one of them for the freezer. On the pther hand my son has been in stand everyday and has not had a deer in as of yet.

I was hunting fall colors at the Grand Canyon in Tioga county yesterday. From Kane to Colton Point I only saw one roadkill. That's 90 miles.
I should have stopped by to see old Ulysses.
