NE Penna. Report
We hunted Saturday up in Sullivan County. There were lots of deer but I didn't get a shot. Two of the guys missed a shot. Most of the deer were on the edges of the woods. I guess they're still eating grass. We saw 6 on the road the cabin's onjust driving in. Every time we would get in the truck to head to our hunting spot we'd see a bunch of deer along the road. I actually had a buck walk in between me and the target in the back of the cabin while I was discharging my dad's crossbow. He had to chase the buck off so I could shoot the target. They're still stupid, guys.Better get them before they get educated. We spooked a few so they're wising up where we are. Oh yeah - my dad also saw a bobcat.

The first week is always my favorite time of the season because the deer typically aren't "educated" as you mentioned. However, they seem to get really smart, really quick.
