Trying..........yes

I could be wrong but that gun he's packing looks for real!

What is ment by trying yes but breeding no is that a doe has to be in estrus to successfully breed.

Looks like he's doing ok to me , and I don't think he really cares if she's ready or not ...

Could be, perhaps 1 in a 1000 could come into estrous early for some strange nature reason but I'd put my money on the chance he's trying and she's not receptive yet....a buck will breed year round if he could but the rut doesn't happen until the does come into estrous.

I sure hope he's not "keepin' it all in the family," so to speak.

They sure do look an awful lot alike. LOL

In the deer world, the buck is ready to rock and roll once his antlers harden. The doe is who dictates when and where, though. Bucks mount does, each other, about anything that will hold still, whether its successful or not. Does will also mount other animals. Its simply a sign of assertiveness and dominance.

That deer doenst have any antlers, I blew it up and no horns.
