Where past Old Forge. We have a camp on Rondaxe Lake just past Bald Mtn. I went last year in late fall and there wasn't a deer to be seen. Not even tracks. It was also the very last weekend of hunting. This year I think we are going up for early muz season. I think it open s Oct 15.

WOW! Small world. I too hunt off Rondaxe lake (Whitney Pines - Slide Off Mtn. out to camp Golum) Our cabin is directly across from the snowmobile gate on Rondaxe lake. We have 5 guys going up for muzzleloader opener - all of us got 50 Cal Thompson Omegas this year

I n the winter when we snowmobile we see 30+ deer a day out on the lake but during the season there are none to be seen. At least in late fall. I'm going up in a couple weeks to scout the area. Maybe it will be better opening weekend.
