Do any of u guys here know where a good spot to hunt nere pottsville,pa for whitetails and turkey.

I seem to remember at least one person that lived in or about that vicinity and that posted on this forum....but I honestly don't remember if he has posted in awhile. I live about 40 minutes southeast of Pottsville and would suggest you check out either the gamelands in/around the Tamaqua area, Locust Lake, Tuscarora or possibly the gamelands south of your location down by Hawk Mountain. I know folks that frequent all of these areas and they all report very good deer numbers in the past few years.

I heard those gamelands in Tamaqua were pretty good. I have tried the gamelands off of 100 around the Jordan Creek. I hunted there a few years back. I watched the deer run across the field on private property and they guys just opened up and none of them made it to gamelands.. I was ready to pop a doe.. I like the land back there just never heard or saw anything but ground hogs!
