After everybody get's their 5 acres
8000 homes on 2600 acres would come out to 0.3 a lot. That's not including roads and common areas. Houses would likely be on 0.1 to 0.25 acres. I've never heard of a contractor shooting deer prior to building. They usually hire someone to clear the lot. Then the animals move out gradually. They either find another woodlot or get hit by cars. This must be a real hard-core operation.

8000 reasonably sized homes cannot be built practically on 2600 acres.

That's a 115/115 (approx) lot each. This is not includint right-a-ways, roads, culdasacs and other things. That would make each lot under 100X100 when all is said and done.

If that's the case, they are REALLLY packing them in there. They just put 100 condo-typehomes on52 acres near here, and they are nearly on top of each other. The roads, ditches and other things take up a large percentage of the land.

You're telling me that the game commission let someone slaughter 150 deer and then bury them in a landfill..................NOT!!!! I've heard of sharp shooters in state parks thinning out the herd due to landdamage and vehicle accidents. Even someone that hits a deer with their car has to get a special tag plus pay $10 a point to keep the rack (and this was an accident that damaged someone's personal property.)

This story sounds way too far fetch for me.Builders are buying woodedlots (5c)in my area all the time and building homes andI never heard a shot yetor seen a pile of dead deer.Even if they allowed them to kill the deer to build homes (whichI never heard of before in my life) how come theyweren't liable to donated the meat to a food shelter?

Actually, it sounds suspiciously like another of those conspiracy theories like the game commission stocking wolves, mountain lions, and coyotes. Bigfoot, too.

OK Townhouses and stacked apartments. Not single homes. This is a piece of property that was the last new borough to be organized in Pa. Then it was made illegal to ever make another city from wasteland. 17 people lived in the new Borough for many years.Made their on laws ,zoning, and run it like a little castopo. They also made a huge land fill. All after lots of fighting with lots of surrounding townships. Again approved by the Governors office. Then they sold the whole borough to the developer. The developer is at this time sitting on the Governors panel to study and get organized gambling legalized in the State. It is a political payoff , organized crime circus. And the State does OK slaughter of nuisance animals. Just 12 years ago outside Reading Pa.a Doctor Perserpie who own alot of property got the permission to slaughter . Why because he leased it to someone who farmed it. All shot and buried. And no hunters were allowed or even considered to join in. NoDMAP permits used.Big Stink made. The Game commission said all legal and Okayed by them.
