I took it out of the box and cleaned the old packing grease off and oiled everything and never shot it. It has a blued barrel and a composite stock. what makes it even better, is that I while I was at a sporting goods store 3 hrs away from home and saw a closeout on a similar gun I passed it up thinking I bought this one. Just when you think you got it figured out........
