Hi Everybody,
I have a few Ferrocerium rod fire starters that are surplus to my needs. Ferrocerium is an incredible metal that will emit a large amount of very hot sparks when struck/scraped by steel, basically it is the same material that zippo lighter flints are made of. These fire starters are 1/2" x 5" solid Ferrocerium. You will never wear one of these rods out, they will last you literally tens of thousands of strikes. These rods are not affected by water or environmental conditions, and will not break or malfunction, and are likely the most reliable fire starter you can carry.

The rods are drilled on one end, and have some paracord braided through the hole. Also included is a hardened steel striker. And yes, the strikers are also bottle openers!
