Default The 400 pound SLOB!

This is a pic of my favorite buck. I glassed this one all summer coming in and out of a little bedding area... he always had the wind in his face when he came out then staged untill dark and moved on. Whenever the wind was from a different direction he would bed elswhere in an unknown location. Finally one day during early bow season the wind changed midday, I left work early and raced for the place where i had been glassing him. There where not much for trees in the swamp, but there was one huge willow tree. I layed in a crotch 6 feet off of the ground and had a butiful 140's class 10 point come out and walk within feet of me. I passed him up hoping for the big guy. He was not even out of sight when this guy showed. He walked the same path and as he went by within a couple yards I drilled him with my arrow. he only went a couple steps and fell over. I could hardly beleive the body size!!! We got him out of the swamp and tried to weigh him, but even fully feild dressed he bottomed out my 300 pound scale before he was even off of the ground... His live weight had to be well over 400 pounds, heck it might of been a record. Sombody called him the 400 pound SLOB! and that just stuck. Here he is... but pictures don't do justice

Hey don't call my sister in law that.

But seriously that is one huge deer. I don't think that it's a record though, the current record was shot in Maine in 1955 and weighed 461 pounds.

Did you have to build an addition with cathedral ceilings to hang that beast on your wall?

I love the rack too.
