Default new Missouri record???

Yesterday, I was reading this months issue of the Missouri Conservationist Magazine, and in the back there was a small peice and picture of a huge buck, taken on a public conservation area in Missouri by a Florida man, who has hunted this deer for 5 years and has numerous sightings, and video of the deer. It was taken on Sept. 18th at Poosey CA, in Livingston county. It is a typical 10 with great tines and incredible width, He didnt have it scored yet and was waiting for the 60 day drying period to pass. I was wondering if anyone has any info on this deer, and know what it scored? The story says it may contend with the Missouri al tme archery record of 191. I had never heard anything about this deer, until now.

Yep, thats the one!! Is that not a huge typical. Congrats to him, it sounds like he has definitely done his homework and scouted this deer for a while,, And from public ground to boot! He deserved it.

I work for the state and have been working in the Trenton, Chillicothe area for the last few months and have heard lots of stories on this deer and the gentleman who took it. Some stories of course trying to discredit him and the deer and how it was taken. From what I gather he done it the old fashion way and earned it. He actually met a guy from the area that has a small acreage that borders the CA and bases his hunting and scouting trips from there. From what I gathered he actually shot the buck on the guys land but had to track it onto the Poosey CA. From the local newspaper article from that area they are saying it is guarnteed to finish in the top three all-time for sure if not No.1. All that aside it is a beautiful deer I can't believe all the big buck in that area. We were working there over the firearms week and I saw buck after buck on the back of trucks 140 and better. They sure know how to grow em up north.
