2Eagles, I read your post on tears. Good job to your son!! Ya it's sad to lose a close hunting buddy. I'm sure you can keep his adrenaline pumping w/ all the stories that you'll have 2 tell. I'll b on my own this year which is a good thing and bad thing at the same time. I'm sure it won't be the same w/out my dad being in a tree from me on the same property. But when i do get my buck i'm sure his eyes will light up. When i shot my first deer just 2 years ago. A doe, that was the first time he EVER gave me a high five and i felt that he was actually proud of me for the first time. So now i will continue to try and harvest a deer because this brings me soo close 2 my dad and will with your son!! Good Luck!!

One week left! This week will probably feel like an eternity. I have added excitement for this year's opening day because for the first time ever, I have access to private land that is known to have big bucks! Also, my uncle is a charter boat captain on Lake Erie and I will be assisting him on trips the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weekends in October. That is not so bad as most of that is the October lull, but I sure am putting a lot of emphasis on opening weekend! Good luck to all the Buckeye Big Buck hunters out there!

I'm probably going to miss the opener; and probably most, if not all, of the first month. <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle> I hope you guys have a good season though.
God bless,

Well Five more days until D-day. I hope I don't work that day. Need some cool days to get all geared up to practice in. Just not the same when your practice in a T-Shirt and no face mask or gloves & jacket. It's been like the Dog days of August here at the end of Sept. I hope the cool days are coming. Everyone have a Great one.
