According to an outfitter from the area, a local hunter has killed a buck that is supposed to have 44 points(10 drop tines) and score nearly 300" near Macomb in McDonough County.
Anybody got more info?
Good luck all!

My taxidermist was telling me about it last night....Supposed to be the new state record non-typical...I think he said it was in the mid 200's...Supposedly a picture of it in the Macomb Farm King but I was also there getting dog food and didn't see it...???
Nothing has been on the local news about it and they have showed several deer from last weekend...I hunt in Adams county so I'm not far from there...

I heard about this earlier today but didn't know if it was true. I guess it is. I hunt and live only about 45 min away, in Henderson county and there were some bruisers killed around here last weekend.
Can't wait to see pics.

Great buck, he is gonna take some heavy deductions for unmatched tines.
Maybe this is the one he meant, but it certainly does not have 44 points and 10 drop tines. This looks like a 12 pointer to me.
You know how rumors are-
Oh, by the way, Ken Piper of Buckmasters killed another huge buck in McDonough COunty in early November. By looking at the pic, I think he'd go about 180" typical.
Could McDonough County be the next Pike County? The western part of the county is very similar topographically.

Im in pike county and havent heard anything about it, i know that some really nice deer have been killed in the shotgun season, but wasnt sure on how big exactly, havent found any pics either....i live right outside of perry, and have seen many nice deer taken on the property i hunt, including a 195 class nontypical and 185 nontypical, both killed by the same guy.
