Things were pretty slow in the eastern UP. Didn't hear nearly as many shots as in the past. Only saw two deer and hunted the entire day of the 15 and 16 and the morning of the 17. We weren't even seeing deer along the side of the roads in the morning or evening's driving to our hunting area which is about a 15 mile drive one way. The weather was a little on the warm side, so maybe that slowed em down a bit.

Hunted three days straight and didn't see a thing. No does, no bucks! From now on, I will no longer refer to my license as a firearm license or doe permit. They will forever be called "My license to sit in the woods with a gun" license.
Hopefully, I'll at least see something other than my breath this weekend. I'm heading back out for another go around.

6:30am Tuesday morning, I tagged a nice 8 pointer. 15 1/2" inside spread and a nice symmetrical rack. I'm unable to upload any photos until I return to home.
Shots were much lower this year than last as well in my area. very few deer have been harvested....good luck to those still in the hunt.
