Yes they do have a bigger influence.Because that's where all the bigwigs for the DNR are from or they come from out of state. But the facts still remain,Most bears were harvested in late August.Their just mad because that's when they go on vacation.And they won't be around. HA HA Ha.

a bill was intriduced by Sen Price to delay the bear opener til SEpt 4 this year and looks like the D N R will cave in and move it to at least Sept 1---just when they finally figured out away to harvest the quota they wanted--makes sense right!!!!!

is it possible for out of staters (iowans) to get a bear tag in minnesota? does anyone know the cost? where would be some good places to go?

If IOwans can sign there name and send in the application they can receive licenses like everyone else!!--now I am just kidding---anyways yes non-residents can be drawn--the apps come out around Ap 1 have to be sent in around May 1--there are several zones in the state you may apply for -non-res costs $190 e-mail me if you want more info--it's easy to be [email protected]

I just got e-mailed from the dnr and they told me Sept.1 but don't know yet on the limit of 1 or 2.By the way Billy Bear did you do okay this last season?And how long have you been guiding?

beenguiding professionally 14 years--last year was excellant--no secret to bear hunting over bait when the bears are hungry they come in alot easier--local natural food supply was poor last fall--we went 26 bagged for 31 hunters
