FYI-

The Illinois State Record buck is the Jerry Bryant buck(the Bryant Giant) taken in Fulton County in 2000 or 2001. It was taken by a cross bow.

It scores 291 and change and is the 3rd or 4th largest buck taken by any method.

Info courtesy North American Whitetail magazine.

Sounds like a whale of a buck. I look forward to reading the story.

One of my guys killed a 174" typical buck this fall with his bow. It was a beauty. To think a buck had another 80" on him!

Good luck!
