Default Indiana bag limit dont agree with it

I am a beliver in the one antler a year. As for the doe bag limit I believe its not right. The county I live in I can take a doe any time during the shotgun season. I think it should be like it was a few years ago the last four days. Anyone else feel the same?

i would have to disagree, the southern indiana area has several does, i' m not sure about your area. but what i would like to see is instead of the antlered or antlerless, i say they go male / female, this way if you shoot a button buck, you must use your buck tag, i think this would really increase the age class and number of bucks throughout indiana

Here in Franklin county we have to many does. I think the bag limit should stay the way it is. The buck to doe ratio needs to go down.

I agree with th rest. Here in illinois DNR wants to get the deer population down so we can kill any amount of does we want a year and only two bucks a year.

Here in Vigo they are letting you have two antlerless per year. Seems okay to me. As far as the 1 antler goes I have not even seen a buck this year. At least not in the woods. When I took in a doe to the processor last week he said that they were down 400 deer this year. Weather (?)

I've only seen one live buck this year so far , he was crossing the road as I was headed to a buddy's place to sight in my ML . He was a pretty nice 6-8 point , may even have been the one I missed last year . LOL

I am not much on taking does around here, but I know when it has to be done for management reasons, I have started a management program on the farm I hunt, next year I have gotten the approval to plant a plot of Bio Logic, I want to improve the deer around me, I have let many smaller bucks walk this year, but give them a couple of years, and they will be nice bucks. But for the does, I have not seen as many as I thought, but my hunting partner shot one on Oct.17th, so I am going to take one around the later part of the season. But maybe if a big buck comes by, I will shoot that!! Around here the buck to doe ration is about even from what I have seen this year!
