RE: Missouri deer, how did you do ?
I am around the Moberly area and I had a fair season I only hunt for antlers so I never pulled the trigger but saw at least 20 deer per day. My son is handicapped and I have a stand for him to hunt from . Thats more fun than me hunting just to see his face when one appears.
I have been fortunate enough to be able to but several new rifles in the last couple of years my two latest are a NEF .243 bull barrel, browning a bolt in a .270 wsm love them both. But my favorite is a H & R buffalo classic 45/70 with a 32 in barrel. Just had my trigger worked on on my Ruger .220 swift, set at two lbs its great.

Dan,
I hunt right near Moberly. Kind of inbetween Macon and Moberly. We check our deer at the college mound station. Are you near there?
I did pretty well this season...one buck rifle, one button rifle (thhought it was a doe), one doe during archery.

i hunted atchison county before i moved back to nebraska area 2. i got 2 the first day one doe at 7am and a button buck at about 4pm and i got 2 last day of the season a doe and a seven pointer. then i kinda half butted it during the antlerless season and had opportunities but didn't take a shot.
