Default Night time Kansas coyote hunting

Anyone have better luck hunting kansas coyotes at night? Last time we went we had been out all afternoon and around when the sun was setting we finally got responses to our calls but we couldnt hunt after dark since we didnt have handguns or .22's. Just wondering if night time is the best time to hunt them or early morning or what.

I believe its illegal to shoot coyotes at night in Ks unless they have changed the law recently !!! even with the aid of thermal imaging !!!

You can hunt at night with handheld lights and rimfires or handguns only, doesnt say anything about thermal though, or even night vision, i think nvg would be more practical than thermal and way more wallet friendly. But i dont see why you couldnt use either, same with suppressors, which i think you can use.
