suggest that you take the Illinois Hunter Safety Education class. It is a very good idea and will be required of you at some point.

Not sure we know he is from Illinois ?? We need way more info ? like what you would like to hunt ? where you live? Age ? have you ever shot guns /bow ? And as Uncle Matt said a hunter ed class would be your first step.
