Wisconsin public land small game
Hey guys, new to the forum here. I've been looking for a place around Wisconsin rapids, Wisconsin to get out on some public land and shoot some squirrels with the guys. I've really been struggling to find anything but pine plantations. Anyone got a clue where I could go near WR to find some good squirrel hunting? Thanks ahead of time. I'm normally a private land guy and I'm not doing well on public.

Squirrels on public land can be tough because they get hammered so hard. You might be better off going to the wisconsin DNR website and scoping out FCL or MFL land. It's usually not hunted as hard as public land because fewer folks are aware of it.
