Default Indiana deer season outlook

This will be an interesting hunting season this year. The water table is the lowest I have seen in a long time. Small ponds and creeks have dried up. The dry summer has affected crops also. Farmers have already started clearing the corn fields and the beans will be next.

How is the rest of the Midwest faring?

Given the situation the deer will react accordingly and I for see opportunities in the early season. Hopefully the deer will have to move around more in search of food and water. Hopefully it will be a good season for us.

We have a place in Ohio County IN and I have heard of several deer being found dead. We have 3 ponds on our property and while they were low this year they weren't as low as they were last year.

There isn't many ag fields in my area so the deer will probably stick to there same feeding patterns. Right now we have a good acorn crop that they are hitting hard.

Are they the 3 inch or 2 3/4. My gun will not shoot the 2 3/4 at all.

Mine shoots the 2 3/4 pretty well. thats what I was shooting last year and dropped a buck @ about 180 yards and a Doe at 150. I would prefer the 3 inch but they are pretty hard to find. I will say I love this gun.
