Hey just wondering who all is from Illinois on here? And if you are near Kendall or grundy county?

I am, but the southern part..

I'm from Chicago but hunt mainly in Central Illinois but have hit Southern Illinois for shotgun season two out of the past four five years. If you deer hunt, great state to live it!

Also, Not much action this time of year, but this is a good forum for Illinois hunters. I'm sure once September hits it will start getting busy again.

I'm south-southeast Illinois, Macoupin and Greene County area..

I'm in Lake and mostly hunt in Mchenry, Jo Daviess, Stephenson etc lately. Our deer herd is about the only thing I still like about this state!

I live in Kane County. Deer hunt in Cass, Will, McHenry Counties. Turkey hunt in Ogle County and in SW Wisconsin. Hunt out west a lot for elk, mule deer, pronghorn.

Live in Will County...hunt Jackson and Union counties...

seems to be a lot of people from IL.

I'm from southern DeKalb County. I hunt LaSalle County and Lee County mostly -- both deer and turkey. Also Bureau, Marshall, Carroll, and Ogle from time to time. Also Wisconsin.

Pulaski County...all the way south, exit 8 off 57. Life is good!

I'll be down your way the 5th season of Turkey season. Was just drawn the other day. One of my deputy buddies hunts and guides down your way in Pulaski and Johnson Co.

Live Clinton/St.Clair Co. area. Hunt Clinton,St. Clair, Bond, Pike, Jefferson, Marion and now Pulaski Co.

Seeing a lot of birds this year as well as yotes.

I live in Oswego. I'm new to hunting and am looking for as much advice as I can get. I have 3 sons that are learning with me.
Actually, new to Oswego as well, so I don't know anybody. If anyone out here is willing, I am looking to meet some hunters that are willing to teach a newbie the ropes.
I don't know the area, so have no clue where to go.

My advise would be public land. Also, when applying for a permit, public land uses special codes. You can't use the general county codes as these are for private land only. I already made that mistake lol.

Checking in! I live in Aurora but hunt Jim Edgar, Midewin, Silver Springs primarily BowHunting.

Middle of the state here in McLean county.

Quad Cities. Hunt in Rock Island county and some of the islands on the Rock River.

My wife was born in Aurora. Went back 2 years ago and I thought I was back in the 'hoods of Chicago again!! Some places are nice, others not so. We were on the bike and was headn north. Didn't stay long.

I'm from central Illinois, Logan county. I'm also new to the forum. Been bowhunting Illinois for seven years now, and am extremely passionate about bowhunting. I joined the forum because I'm looking for other people that bowhunt in illinois. I'd really like to get some kind club going or something so I can hang around with people that share my enjoyment of the sport. Live in Chicago Suburbs. Hunt Will, Macoupin, Iroquios, Pike (this year), and anywhere else I can! Also hunt in Wisconsin!

Grew up in Pike now live in Madison and hunt Pike and scott.

i live as far south in IL as you can go massac,pope county line

Hunted Saline a few times, A couple private and once on Shawnee, all gun. Love it down there. Smallest deer I got was off of Shawnee but still a nice 7 point.

Been in IL for 3 years now and haven't hunted. Things are looking up and I may be able to get out this year. This state is crazy, I'm used to PA, MD regulations and State Game Lands. Anyone have any opinions about Kickapoo SP areaA I live in the NW Suburbs of Chicago but the wife has family in Danville area. Thinking about taking a couple weekend road trips and giving the local public land a try.

Live in Collinsville/O'Fallon area. My farm is in Fayette County.

Live in Macoupin. Hunt in Macoupin, Jersey and Montgomery.

You could hunt MiddleFork State fish and wildlife area. I have bow hunted there a few times just for a change of pace and enjoyed it.

Like any park you have to be willing to walk a ways into the thick stuff to get great results away from other hunters.

I live in Chicago, shotgun deer hunt in Macon county, looking into archery hunting some of the public land around here this year, and I upland hunt as well.
