I usually don't start looking for at least another month and usually two. Still too much snow on the ground. That first day in March or April when the snow is gone then I'll be out cehcking the woods.

i dont normally start this early either but got liad off so i got some extra time on my hands , figured i might find some of them before the tree rats and field mice do .

Went looking today at lunch...have a forest preserve a couple minutes from my job. No luck.

Did see three deer one definitely looked to be an anterless buck.

i have trail cam pics of a couple bucks that have dropped both sides but one of our hunting buddies still has to fill his tag so we are staying out of there as much as possible

I found half of a decent 10 today! First time out and first find, thats lucky. It looked like it had been there for a good week or so. I could tell by how deep in the snow it was. Good luck to anybody else who enjoys this.
