Everyone ready to hunt in the upper 40's and lower 50's this opener? After all this cold October weather its sweating weather that will shut down movement on the way...but, atleast can sit all day in comfort right?

I am ready!! Finished sighting in the ML today, got everything all ready to go. I will be bow hunting all this week. Where are you going to be hunting at? I am in the South East corner, just south of Austin. Good Luck!

But with the corn still up, I'm not too excited, as once the shooting starts I'm sure the deer will head into the corn fields and not into the woods. I hunt south of Grand Rapids, Mn, east of Hill City. Camp is mostly set up. doing the rest Friday afternoon. Guns are sighted in, stands in place, and got some nice looking bucks off the trail cams...so we'll see. Good luck to everyone and be safe.

doh! don't rub it in guys. i'm not hunting this weekend. in a way it's good, i'm tagged out. I got my buck and 2 does bow hunting this year. this will be the first gun opener i haven't hunted since i was 12 (24 straight years of hunting!!!). ugh! it sucks!

I can't hunt til I take my leave. I'm gonna be sitting with my ML just east of houston. I heard you guys have been getting a bunch of rain lately. Hopefully by the 28th wether will have cooled off.
