Go to Ill. DNR web page & PUBLICATIONS.
Order the Hunters Digest or pick up at some places that sell Lic..it lists all public areas by zone in Ill. & IF they are Archery only plus land size. Tons of info from this free booklet. Also-Trophy Buck Mgmt. pamphlet-gives information on places managed with ANTLER restrictions 10 or 12 of these places..
Franklin Creek near Franklin Grove BUT within 10-15 min of there is also Lowden Miller State Forest (4000 acres) & Castle Rock State Park (400 or more-not sure). BOTH very near Oregon Ill. They would be within your driving area.

I've hunted both Castle Rock & Lowden Miller, Castle rock is a great place if get back in there. Lowden gets over hunted in my opinion, its fairly flat with trails cut all through the place that make it very hunter/hiker friendly.
