Just wondering if anybody has noticed if any crops are being cut yet. Very few cut fields along the drive to the hunting spot. Did get out on Saturday, we saw a few does and 1 buck. Thought for sure that we would see alot more activity. Anyway we did find a couple srapes and rubs, so that would be a good sign. Another long work week til I can get out again.

The crops where I hunt in Macoupin County are no where ready for harvest. They were late and the last planted, so I will be surprized if they are out by first gun season. We're going back Oct. 29 for the weekend then the following weekend.

I only saw one cornfield in Richland County that they were just starting to cut. A lot of the corn there looks like it could use another week or so. Hardly any soybeans cut yet either.

I'm in LaSalle county. We've seen alot of deer starting at about 4 o'clock. All of which have been in beans. Of course the corn is still up around us but they are chasing hard. In fact my brother got a big bodied 8 on Sat. that was chasing a doe.
