Anybody hunt the blackhills of SD

Default Anybody hunt the blackhills of SD

I have gone every year for the past 3 years hunting turkeys and see thousands of deer just never been out that way when they have head gear on. Just wondering what the buck to doe ratio might be like and if there are good possiblity of scoring on a nice buck like 120" or so or if they are just a bunch of basket racks out there. I want to go out and bow hunt late season like mid december so just looking for any info.

Well I've never hunted there but I can tell you I have seen some monster whitetails in that area while driving home from a hunting trip in Colorado. Saw one group of three bucks, all at least 130, one was probably about 160". Then another group with two more that were over 130 so there are surely some big boys in that area.
