Well for some reason this site will not allow me to C & P the info so you will have to go to the Illinois Department of Natural resources website to check it out in PRESS RELEASES.

I've read it and am not surprised, especially when the head honchos tried to compare 1999 deer kill numbers to 2008. What a joke our state's management has become.

Iwas in Illinois when the story came out in the local paper. I just took a quick look at it. Don't seen anything horribly wrong with the changes, other than it will hopefully result in a lot more does getting taken, and I understand that it was based on a lot of community meetings where people voiced their concerns about overpopulation of deer.

As far as money goes I think if they sell more permits and get more money and the money goes back into it and Blowjob ain't around to steal it then that is fine by me.
I do not believe that it is going to make a big impact on harvest. It believe it will make a noticable impact but nothing major. Afterall, what is the current success ratio? And the changes will hit the doe herd which it should target.
What I am wondering (and maybe someone can help me out here) is will I be allowed buy a leftover permit (over the counter) for a county other than the county we draw in the lotteries?
