Kansas early Muzzleloader season..
The reason I'm seriously considering getting into muzzleloading is that Kansas has an early whitetail muzzleloader season from Sept 21st to Oct 4th. I also look forward to hunting the late Missouri muzzleloader season (my fam has lots-o-land there) and someday I want to hunt elk with a ML as well but the KS season is themain reason. I've never deer hunted in Kansas, primarily because I don't have any access to private land there and I've heard that the centerfire rifle season can be pretty crazy on public and WIHA access land. For any of you guys who have hunted the muzzleloader season in KS, is it as crazy and crowded as the regular rifle season? I would think not but I nothing to base this guess on. Thanks!

The early muzzleloader season doesn't get the same pressure as the rifle season. Bucks are in velvet and deer don't move much. I'm fortunate to hunt private land anyway, so it doesn't matter much too me. In Sept., or weather is usually very warm to hot. Once its down, skin, quarter, and toss in cooler before you do anything else.
