I am looking for a place to hunt for big bucks in either Ohio or Illinois
Better go to Ohio.
We don't have any deer in Illinois. [8D]

Well we don't have any deer here in Ohio either. Just better try a different state from the two listed. Anyway most of the big deer you see from Ohio on the TV are killed by big spenders who hunt on the Amish deer farms in south east/central Ohio. Not fair chase hunting.

What size of tract are you lookin' for in Illinois? Most of the tracts that I know of are reasonably small in the 50 to 100 acre size. Generally it takes $2,000 or slightly more to secure a tract this size. Is that something you're interested in? I know the prices seem to be climbing more and more every year.... I know it sure makes it hard on a averag workin' man..... especially in this west-central Illinois area.

I talked to a farmer while I was in Pike county last year and he was willing to set me up for $450 on his 120 acres during the 3 day gun hunt. He told me to give him a call but now he will not call me back. A little frustrating. I am looking for something in the area of 80 acres for myself and my dad. He has never hunted out of state and I am trying to get him to go once.
