RE: 2008 Michigan Firearm Deer Season
Date. 11/15-11/16
County/Location. Manistee county
Morning/Evening. Both
Animals Seen. 0 deer - Dozens of humans.
Weather Conditions. Cold/drizzle/snow
Rut Activity. none witnessed
Notes. Inconsiderate weekend warriors showing up at 8:00am or at peak time stomping out in the woods for the first time all yearpretty much ruined our chances, after we put in time scouting all year and setting up early. These types of idiots show up without exeption every year and act like their the only ones in the woods. One guy pulled off the trail and parked his truck 20 yards from my dads blind at 7:30am.(His blind was there for 4 days prior.) Have a little consideration people.

RE: 2008 Michigan Firearm Deer Season
No one on here from MI this year or what?
Date: 11/17 - AM
County/Location: Kent County
Animals Seen:1 Buck
Weather Conditions: Light Snow, Calm Wind W, Cool 34
Rut Activity: None, buck alone, searching for food.
Notes: Water stillvery high in swamp area. Ducks are plentiful (should have been duck hunting ). Deer passed and I noticed a very large, dark body. Though about pulling the trigger, but never seen his head (and I only have my restricted license left) so the smart thing to do was hold. Never did see it, but I know it was a buck. Hopefully he will show himself again.

This is my father's U.P. buck from Opening Evening. Typical 8, 15" spread, short tine length, great buck.
I was really hoping to get a picture of the buck pole with all 8 bucks hanging, but it is hard communicating through a cell phone, specially when you have to drive 7 miles to get service! (BTW, this was a cell phone picture sent via text).
