Interesting that he says early, everyone else is saying the rut willl be a little late this year. For me most rutting activity always falls from November 3rd-12th in Northern Illinois.

Now that I really think about it, seems he just wants as hunters to have something else to talk about around the old campfire so to speak. With this warm weather it might slow things down a little, but as soon as it starts to cool down the deer will heat up...
