I am seeing a few in Southern Wisconsin... The public land varies depending on what area of southern Wisc. your planning on hunting and how far north you go.

I'll be hunting 67A and 67B. This will be the first time that our fields are soy bean and not corn. So far it has been good. Have seen a lot of shooters already a couple are already past the ears with good tines. I only have one camera out, the other two are broke so I haven't got much for pics. But when I do I will post.

Can't wait for the opener! I hunt 76C and will be hunting some various public lands and MFL to keep the pressure off our property some.........have not started scouting yet for the big one, usually wait til Aug. That way i can hopefully pattern him and bust him early on...........Good luck to everyone this year!

QUICK UPDATE!!

Went over to the farm this weekend...unit 61. Went for a drive in the evening with two hunting buddies and...WOW!!! Saw 8 different beauties, all in a 10 minute loop of the area. Best one was conservatively a 150 class 10 pt., three (yes three different...) 130+ class 8 pointers, a couple of nines, and two more low-P&Y 8's. And this was all while trying to adjust for the fact that they always look better in velvet. That got the blood pumping!!

Sorry, we just had binoculars with...no cameras, but we did get some more trail cams out so I'll post pictures if we see any nice ones.

Now I'm really psyched for bow season...ONLY 61 MORE DAYS TO GO!!

I'll be hunting in units 43, 44, 55 and possibly 58 this year. So far I have only one small buck on camera this year.
