One day I hunted -40 with wind chill. I'm like most others, I can handle the cold, but the wind I can do without.

I think that the coldest I have ever hunted was around zero, without the windchill. But, i tracked and killed a Red fox in the snow, so didn't feel the cold at all.

I'm supposed to be out tromping for rabbits this weekend, but hopefully it will be somewhat warmer in southern Illinois. Otherwise, I'll spend more time in my dad's garage drinking homemade wine in front of the heater than i will out in the woods.

In a blind I can stand pretty much any temperature but off the ground in a treestand only a few hours if the wind is blowing and it is under 20 degrees.

The coldest I have ever bow hunted was -10. I didn't mind the cold but I wondered what would happen to my bow if I shot it. Gutting a deer in those temps wouldnt be fun eithor.
