Don't know whether to put this deer on the wall or do an english skull mount. It only has a 16" inside spread. Any opionions, just keep in mind I do have to pay for it.

I do all the heads like that. I boil them for a few hours in a ten gallon pot, then I blow them off at the car wash with high presure soapy water. every time they come out nice and white, and ready to hang the same day.

I was in sauk co. near devils lake. Shot a doe opening day and passed on another one on sunday. Saw a decent buck on Sat., but he was running fast. Then unfortunately, I found him laying dead in the woods on Tuesday. I'm going back out Fri-Sun this week and again next week to finish off the CWD gun season.

Congrats on a great deer.

Do you have any others mounted now?
I'd get him mounted if I were you.
You'll never regret it.

this season seemed to be relatively slow compared to others. i hunt southern trempealeau county and a lot of the people i talked to said they didn't see much at all compared to most years. we ended up with 5 deer at my house which is about ave. but we didn't see what we normally see. i shota doe and my dad shot 2 does and a 11pt and my sister shot a 9pt..but the number of deer on the move was really low

Yea... for some reason I don't get those surveys any more. Seems like they have an ever growing list of who NOT to send them to so they can get the results they want... I would like to see if the survey again has misleading questions... If its electronic, send it to me or post it so we can pick it apart.
