Well Fellas, as we look at it now, there is 66 hours until we have opening morning of the 2007 firearm deer seasonupon us. Looking forward to some great hunting, awesome memories, and spending time with some special people. Good luck to all, and be safe!

Hunt near the home in GR, and up in the UP over Thanksgiving. We have a cabin in Rapid River, Michigan. Great place, beautiful. How far is that from you? Keweenaw Peninsula I see. We drive past there on our way I think.

Maybe it is something else but the deer seem to move a lot more there when it is below 30 degrees.

By the way, I sat tonight and had a mature 8 and 6 point chase a doe hard. They came through 40 yards out and I grunted softly. The 8 point stuck right on the doe and went across the country (kidding), but the 6 came in at 30 yards. A little young yet, so he will hopefully live another year.
Good luck to all!!! 36 hours remaining!!!

Agreed, I pray for snow every november. The cold temperature get the deer up and moving, feeding much more drastically, and the rut kicks in its last week to. It needs to turn colder!
